S/S 2010: Ted Baker’s bird’s eye view

As I’m sure you are all aware, we work a season ahead of ourselves in the wonderful world of fashion. So, as I stood dripping wet in my now bobbly winter coat and squelchy brogues at the Ted Baker S/S 2010 press day, I was more than thankful for the fanciful escape into spring (not to mention the cream scones!).

The pretty collection was bursting with the joys of British springtime inspired by the English country side and its natural heritage. Think picnics in the park, pleasant walks along the river with your beloved, a spot of bird watching, cucumber sandwiches on the lawn followed by fizz and fun. It was British at its best.

To indulge in the above activities in true Brit-chick style, Ted says you must slip into tropical floral prints, romantic poppy prints and my personal favourite; butterfly cluster print summer dresses and cardigans (pictured). The butterfly print screams country girl in love - and frankly, who doesn’t want to embrace a little romance and nature when it’s so freezing AND wet AND depressing outside. Roll on spring.

Butterfly frocks are availble from January onwards at Ted Baker.
