Alexa for V Magazine

Alexa - how I wish I had your legs. Alexa looks stunning in V Magazine working a red and black Dolce & Gabbana dress and cute styled bob.

Label Lust

Calvin Klein has got it going on! FACT!

When Kylie Minogue stepped out in this soft silvery Calvin Klein frock last night I couldn’t help but swoon at the elegant simplicity and intricate attention to detailing. Calvin Klein’s signature brand of arty minimalism is both sensual and serious, which all my fav celebs from Alexa Chung, Eva Mendes and Thandie Newton have fallen head-all-heels in love with.
Top marks to Alexa who stepped out in this red long-sleeve mini by Calvin Klein back in August, she self-styled the look with pendants and ankle boots for a sophisticated yet youthful kick, while Miranda Kerr prettified her sharply cut, two-tone blue Calvin Klein frock with winning results.
Get the CK kick now and head to High Street stores such as Zara and Banana Republic for well-cut, body-clinching frocks. Inject individualism with accessories and attitude for a look that fuses business with pleasure.

Sweater + Skirt = Super Style

If you wanna know what the cool crowd will be wearing this winter then look no further than this simple fashion formula; sweater + skirt = Style. It’s all about mixing elegant pieces with casual staples for outfits that are actually wearable. So, get ready to team simple sweaters (we love Gap for endless cotton and cashmere versions) with ruched mini skirts, lashings of leather (just think how wearable a leather skirt becomes when teamed with a grey sweater – are you following me now!) and pretty tiered numbers. For super style remember, less is always more.

Jacket Lust

Get super style now and top your looks with a statement jacket. Not only will a jacket transform your workwear looks into the realms of serious sophistication, they also offer you the option to inject personality and Oomph!
My personal favourites are the Luella bouclé jacket (bottom) which fuses classic elements with girlie charm. The Marc by Marc Jacobs puff sleeve number (centre) which looks so god darn easy to wear and finally this trophy blazer from Topshop - which if like myself you just don't dig the whole sequin trend will ensure you still sparkle come party season. Throw on over jeans and dresses for the perfect finish.

Dalmation Dreaming

My boyfriend hates leopard print coats. No matter how many times I tell him that Kate Moss wears one I am clearly fighting a losing battle. He loathes leopard print coats almost as much as he loathes Pat Butcher (just wait till he sees my shoulder duster earrings!!). Now, as a die-hard fashionista it’s clearly my job to persuade the silly boy to get-it!!

So, imagine my delight when I came across this Dalmation print faux fur coat from High Street honey, Miss Selfridge. Not a leopard spot in sight – how can my BF argue with that? And, he loves dogs (no, not me - I'm talking barking beasts here) Bingo! Surely he is going to love this soft, subtle and oh-so stylish number. Of course he his.

I’ll be wearing this beauty over all-black ensembles for a chic daytime look or wrapping up come evening with vertiginous heels and spotty sheer tights for a look-at-me kick. Get yours now at MissSelfirdge.com

Girl Crushing!

I’m girl crushing all over the place this week, either I have serious seasonal wardrobe disorder or I’m having an identity crisis (just to clarify, it’s so obviously the wardrobe problem – obviously!). Anyhow, first up it was Miranda Kerr as she continued her transition from commercial to couture, seen shopping in Sydney dressed in an oh-so cool Isabel Marant ensemble. Next up - Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (top).

Granted, both these girls could wear Jane Norman jumble and still look elegantly cool but when Rosie stepped out to dinner last night I couldn’t help but drool unashamedly. Working a simple white shirt and black trew combo Rosie self-styled her look to utter perfection. With some artful unbuttoning, hair scraping and vintage accessorising Rosie oozed sophistication with class. CLICK to view the look.

The good news? ANYONE can style a look - get green and recycle some of your wardrobe staples with new hairdos, accessories and attitude.

Kurt Geiger treats!

Today I recieved my amazing biker boots courtesy of super shoe store Kurt Geiger! Get the Spur delights at Kurt Geiger.com

Scarf it!

Scarves are steadily becoming the hero accessory of the year. Where bags and bling once ruled, scarves have stepped in to define personal style.

Alexander McQueen started the scarf craze with his skull print creation. Every celeb from Kate Moss to Nicole Ritchie invested and the It-scarf was born. Shortly after came the Stephen Sprouse for Louis Vuitton leopard print stole. We heart this violet variation which is sure to give any easy jean and tee rig-out a lotta life and soul. This scarf comes in an array of colour variations and is loved by many a celeb from Keira Knithley to Sienna Miller and Sarah Jessica Parker.

So, once you’ve found your hero scarf it’s time to learn how to style. If you’re an understated rock chick loop it through your jeans or wear skinny around the neck. For the ladies in the house think neat neck ties while those who lean towards decorative style try tying it around your tote for a fancy kick. Our personal favourite? Wear oversized huddled around the neck for a touch of toasty delight.

Girl Crush

This fashion month Missfashion has been crushing all over Natalia Vodianova. On and off the catwalk this blue-eyed, baby haired beauty injects a sense of elegance and girlie charm into all her enviable ensembles.

Natalia worked black sheer panelling at Christopher Kane, embraced cocktail hour at Valentino, looked super chic in a skin clinching LBD at Chanel, was girlie glam in black yoke ruffles at Louis Vuitton and edgy in slashed leggings for dinner at The Ritz.

Stella McCartney cherry picked Vodianova to open, own and close her upbeat S/S 2010 show. Like Stella, Natalia is a busy mother of three young children who needs uncomplicated clothes that still scream – I’m young, chic and sexy! First up Natalia was yummy in a silvery jacket that came with a graceful ruffle down one lapel paired with relaxed silk pants. Next, Natalia was mummy in a denim pinafore dress complete with easy-button front. And the grand finale? Swinging swirls on pretty pleated print dresses. Sassy, sweet and highly successful – Natalia you got it going on sister.

Trend Alert: Ankle Grazers

In the inevitable battle of Fashion Versus Weather we need to invest in some key pieces to make that stylish hop from hot to horrid (yep, you guessed it - I’m not a big fan of the cold!).

While I'm sure your all up with statement scarves (check out the Hermes pour LIBERTY scarves for serious style points), it-boots and blinging blazers, spare a thought for your downtime denim. Now is definitely the time (considering the torrential downpour outside!) to hang up your cut-offs and invest in a pair of ankle grazing jeans.

So, why graze? Well, not only have the super stylish Kate Moss and Gwyneth Paltrow been spotted donning ankle grazers this week, Sarah Jessica Parker has been styling her crops with clog and check combos on the SATC film set. And, if that’s not reason enough to get you flashing your erogenous ankle zone then trust me when I say the cropped fit has a slimming effect and look just as good when worn with elevating ankle boots as they do with boyfriend brogues.

Missfashion recommends making an investment purchase on these super cool 7 For All Mankind cropped jeans at net-a-porter.com. CLICK to buy.

Missfashion lunches with Kate Moss.

One of the many joys of living in Primrose Hill is Sunday celeb spotting. Primmy Hill is a hub full of the rich, the famous and the super stylish. If the Geldof girls aren’t frolicking on the Hill working the latest punky trends, Henry Holland is sure to be parading his pup along Regents Park Road or Matthew Williamson can be seen lunching in Lemonia. It’s a fashionable feast of fabulousness.

So, as I sat down to a chicken roast with friends in the Lansdowne boozer I subtly scanned the room for potential fashion talent. Hmmm, there was a few Anya Hindmarch totes, lots of cosy Gap cardis, Chanel sunnies and Breton stripes but alas, no celebs to stalk. However, as my friend began to violently choke I realised that this was not due to a trickster chicken bone – no, the one and the only Miss Kate Moss was stood right next to our table! Argh!

Now, it’s not the first time I’ve spotted Moss; I was sent into a state of envy only last week as she sat Font Row at Topshop Unique crossing the sexiest legs I’ve ever laid eyes upon. The novelty has not worn off.

Looking positively radiant (the detox has worked wonders) Kate nailed Sunday style with panache. With a near makeup free face, signature hair scrape and waifish figure Kate was every inch model off duty. Her skinny jeans, knee-high boot, multi-coloured knit and fringed satchel combo looked effortlessly glamorous with a bohemian twist.

I’m afraid I can’t tell you what Kate ate (she sat in a private room upstairs with a clang of coolies) but I can tell you this: a statement bag, a classic boot and colour popping piece of knit wear are all you need to transcend into autumn with stylish precision.

With their green and beige suede exterior, cute shearling cuffs and platform heel these boots combine practicality with classically chic elements. Were sold - we hope the boots aren’t!

Snag the ankle boots for a fabulously fair £98 or the shearling pair for £108.
