Hat Sale!

Bag yourself a stylish hat this summer at the Mad Hatters curious tea party.

Every stylish lady needs a good hat; be it for a summer wedding, festival fun or beach-babe style, a hat can totally transform your outfit from boring to brilliant in seconds!

So, what better opportunity to get your hands on a unique hat (at pocket-friendly prices might I add!) than at the Mad Hatter’s curious tea party on Saturday 10 April in good old London town?

Stylish sisters, Lucy and Amy McMullin recently rescued hundreds of old hats that were destined for a life of obscurity, all of which are unique in style and charm.

The hats range from vintage-style pill-boxes to Hepburn-esque wide brimmed numbers and much more, all of which would be the perfect outfit-topper for that special summer occasion.

SEE OUR FAVOURITE CELEBS IN HATS

So, get down to The Pineapple pub on Saturday 10 April from 3pm, enjoy homemade cupcakes washed down with truck loads of tea and bag yourself a hot hat – sure to turn heads this summer!

And remember:

Women Who Wear Hats Stand Heads Above the Rest!

British Heritage Trends A/W 2010

I'm head-over-heels in love with Michael Herz's A/W 2010 collection at Aquascutum. The clever boy has managed to retain the traditional virtues of the fashion house (think camel coats and tailoring), while mixing in modern elements such as fit-and-flare belted jackets, long fluted skirts and a golden maxi day dress to die for.
Jaeger, Paul Smith Women (and even the blinging Julien MacDonald), were all bashing out classic looks that fused simplistic shapes with soft tailoring.
Belt up in an embroidered coat; slip on chunky roll-necks teamed with ankle gazing skirts and sherling-lined boots... Hmmm, AND there’s no need to wait till Autumn - it's bloody freezing outside!

Alexa Chung's daily fashion hit...

I'm seriously digging Alexa Chung's 'Today I'm Wearing' blog: every day the stylish model/presenter/cover girl and SO ON treats us to a run down of her daily outfits by sending Vogue.com a picture from her phone.
I strongly advise checking out Chung's fashionable pics AFTER you've left the house or you'll find yourself changing your outfit again and again and AGAIN; missing your bus/train and totally pis**** your boss off (yes, even if you do work in the fashion industry).

SHOE TREND: Corky, Clumpy and Cloggy went to market...

There’s a new set of shoes on the street this season ladies. It’s time to forget about the death-defying heels you’ve been use to breaking leg and limb in as a new wave of pragmatism sets in...
Everyone from Chanel to Celine and Stella McCartney was seen introducing a touch of sense and sensibility in to their S/S 2010 collections with flower accent clogs, 70’s inspired wedgies and clumpy platforms.
Embrace this trend head on. Why? Well, not only does a sturdy platform offer comfortable height factor (no more teetering on tip-toes, it’s all equally balanced weight in the world of clump); stiletto peep-toes in winter are SO not cool, while open-toe wedges look seriously stylish worn with chunky socks and knitted tights; spine-crippling six inchers can look garishly glam while a clumpy clog is boho/garden-fairy friendly.
You get the idea? It’s the old cliché of less is more only there’s nothing less just a hell of alot more....
Trot to the high street now where Topshop have been quick to pick up on this trend with their Lottie clog (middle), Nine West have some colourful cork peep-toes on offer (bottom) at Kurt Geiger while Jimmy Choo's Urban clog sandal (top) at net-a-porter.com is perfect for those city clompers.
